Senior Document Controller
Location: Denham

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Document Controller to join our team based in Denham, supporting the delivery of a large-scale HS2 project.
You will take ownership of the project’s document management systems and processes, ensuring the effective control, management and distribution of project information across the NG Bailey project team, client, supply chain and other contractors.
As a senior member of the team, you may also provide guidance and support to Document Controllers and Team Assistants, helping to ensure a consistent and high-quality document management service across the project.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:-
Owning, controlling and managing the project Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and the flow of project information.

Managing the uploading, downloading, distribution and accurate maintenance of drawings, documents and project data.

Ensuring all documentation is correctly received, checked, registered, monitored and distributed in accordance with project, client and contractual requirements.

Maintaining accurate document registers and ensuring information is current, controlled and readily accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Producing regular document status and progress reports, including drawing registers, RFIs/TQs and technical submission reports.

Liaising closely with the client, NG Bailey project team, supply chain and other contractors to ensure effective integration between document management systems.

Developing and implementing project document control procedures and guidance where required.

Supporting and, where required, leading Document Controllers and Team Assistants to ensure an effective document management service.

Providing general project administration support where required.

Ensuring project documentation and information is stored securely and that confidentiality and information security requirements are maintained.

Supporting continuous improvement of document control processes and systems.

Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, quality and compliance throughout all activities.

Substantial experience working within Document Control / Document Management, ideally within a large construction, engineering or infrastructure project environment.

Strong experience using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and associated document control processes.

Experience managing high volumes of drawings, technical documentation and project information.

Strong understanding of document numbering, revision control, registers, workflows and distribution processes.

Ability to work effectively with project teams, clients, contractors and supply chain partners.

Experience producing accurate document status reports and maintaining project registers.

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Confident communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across a project.

Ability to manage your own workload and competing priorities in a busy project environment.

Previous experience supporting or guiding other Document Controllers would be advantageous.

GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
- Be able to work from site 4-5 days a week.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Document Controller looking to take ownership of document management on a significant project and work closely with a wide range of project stakeholders.
You’ll play an important role in ensuring project information is accurate, controlled and available to the right people at the right time, supporting the successful delivery of the project from our Denham site.
