Summary

 

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Project Manager with ductwork/ventilation experience, to join our OSMV team.  This is a permanent staff role and can be based in Reading, London, Cambridgeshire or Oxfordshire region.

 

In this role you will control the overall operational delivery of a project/s (or part thereof), taking into account the safety, technical, commercial and managerial requirements; from bid and pre-commencement to successful practical completion.   You will ensure that profitability is maintained or improved through effective leadership, high quality customer relationships and management of relevant support functions allocated to the project.

 

This is a permanent staff position with NG Bailey.

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Ensure that our safety first and foremost message is visible and alive through all activities on the project
  • Participate in bid activities to ensure a professional, profitable, successful bid which meets customer expectations
  • Manage pre-commencement activities to maximise opportunities and profitability in the delivery phase of the project
  • Building on pre-commencement activities, review the scope of works, including installations methods to ensure the precise provision of customer requirements, whilst maximising efficiency and profitability
  • Lead the team to effectively manage the appointed specialist sub contractors and ensure work is carried out safely, to the specification and programme. Develop effective, sustainable relationships with key sub contractor organisations
  • Provide leadership for the project delivery team through clear objectives, responsibilities, and accountabilities, managing perfo9rmance, offering guidance and feedback to maximise the performance of the team
  • Lead contract reviews, including preparation and submission of reports and all project related data. Ensure accuracy and integrity of costs, values, and programme forecasts; seeking opportunities to suggest actions which mitigate risk and profitability.
  • Where required,  assist the commercial manager prepare and update business plans and local management accounts
  • Develop/maintain positive long-term relationships with customers, leading team to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain sustainable relationships
  • Lead project team to the safe and successful completion of the project within agreed timescales, budgets, and to meet specifications and customer requirements; ensuring projects are closed out in a timely manner to maintain client relationships and project profitability

 

 Requirements:

 

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in project management, working within a building services/construction environment

Ductwork/Ventilation experience

Commercial awareness
