Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Services Manager to join our Defence contract in Cyprus and take full ownership of technical service delivery.
The TSM will play a key role in driving your team ensuring the quality of all maintenance and project activities are to the highest standards.
As based in Cyprus full time, you will be offered a package in line with our standard T&C's plus a generous Overseas Allowance to support with accommodation etc. whilst in country.
SC Security Clearance is a condition of employment. If not held before, this will be obtained with the support of NG Bailey.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Leading the onsite engineering team to deliver excellent behavioural and technical service standards across all M&E systems;
- Technical responsibility and accountability for our sites, including Tier 3–4 Critical Environment(s);
- HV & LV SAP, Petroleum AP and/or Mechanical AP appointments;
- Legionella Responsible Person and Fuels Officer appointment;
- Manage the transfer to MOD JSP safe systems of work including electrical; mechanical; petroleum; confined space; hazardous areas; working at height and ensure the highest Health & Safety standards are upheld;
- Maintenance of the PPM planner and ensure compliance with SFG20/MIRS;
- Providing technical support, guidance and solutions to complex problems, upgrades, system changes and project delivery;
- Management of the asset list, O&M library and the change management process;
- Develop and oversee load monitoring, recording and reporting;
- Implement and manage the technical SOP/EOP index and revision control;
- Develop team capability through coaching, training plans and strong leadership;
- Providing resilience and cover for the Supervisor and Shift AP roles when required;
- Establish a strong client relationship and provide sound technical advice when required.
What we’re looking for:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Technical Services Manager to lead the engineering team within a critical environment, providing strong management and technical expertise, driving compliance and supporting the development of the engineering team while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational performance.
You will hold current qualifications/ experience which are Essential to the role.
- HV and LV SAP/AP Status;
- H&S training to a minimum IOSH Managing Safely knowledge standard;
- Strong mechanical & electrical systems/services knowledge within a commercial building environment;
- Knowledge and experience of Building Services CAFM Systems;
- Proven leadership, people management, development skills and experience;
- Understanding of health and safety legislation and guidelines, policies and procedures;
- And be conversant with Building Services PPM's conducted in-line with SFG20 and/or MURS and resulting reactive work;
- Completed an Electrical and/or Mechanical apprenticeship;
- Competent working knowledge of Air Handling Unit’s, Building Management Systems, Air Conditioning equipment, Heating and Ventilation systems, Closed Water systems, Domestic Water Treatment, static UPS, and Emergency Generators;
- SC Security Clearance - This can be arranged for the successful candidate. 5 year UK residence (or overseas British bases) and employment history required – Essential.
Desired Requirements
- Pet AP status;
- Mechanical and Pressure Systems AP;
- Experience of MOD JSP requirements;
- 18th Edition IET Regulations.
