CAD Technician (Building Services / M&E)

NG Bailey Facilities Services are expanding our team and are recruiting for an experienced CAD Technician. You will work closely with engineers, project managers and event teams to provide accurate drawings for maintenance, projects and stadium events at Wembley Stadium.

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include: 

  • Maintaining and updating master CAD drawings.
  • Creating drawing packs for engineers carrying out planned maintenance.
  • Helping engineers locate assets such as fan coil units, water heaters, extract fans, distribution boards, valves and other building services equipment using existing drawings.
  • Reviewing drawings to help locate equipment, pipework and electrical systems when faults or isolations are required.
  • Adding temporary event layouts to plans, including concert stages, barriers and security positions.
  • Updating drawings when equipment is replaced or layouts change.
  • Responding to requests from different departments and providing accurate drawing information within required timescales.
  • Managing drawing revisions and ensuring the latest versions are available.
  • Manage Smartsheet and MRI – Full training will be provided.
  • Provide cover for Helpdesk and BMS – Full training will be provided.
  • Flexible to support events as required – Overtime will be paid for event cover.
  • Hours are Monday to Friday 40 hrs per week

 

What we’re looking for:

An experienced CAD Technician working to a high standard of technical drawing. You must be organised, confident reading technical drawings and comfortable dealing with a wide range of people while managing several requests across multiple disciplines.

  • Candidates must be proficient in the use of AutoCAD (2d and 3d) to produce engineering drawings.
  • Experience of producing or maintaining M&E / building services drawings would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge and experience of Autodesk REVIT would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of technical drawing standards, drawing revisions and document control.
