Client Director – Network, Cloud & IT Services

National (UK-wide)

Permanent

Summary

We’re looking for a Client Director to spearhead new customer acquisition across the Enterprise, Telecom and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) markets. This is a high impact, strategic hunter role focused on opening new markets, winning net new logos, and accelerating growth through the sale of secure, resilient and scalable network, cloud and IT services. This is not an account management role. While the Client Director will own a small number of named strategic accounts, the primary focus is on creating demand, building pipeline from scratch and converting complex, high-value opportunities. The role operates at executive level, engaging CIOs, CTOs and senior infrastructure leaders, and owning opportunities end-to-end.

As the digital and connectivity division of the NG Bailey Group, NGB ITS brings a genuinely differentiated proposition to market: the ability to deliver IT, cloud and network services alongside electrical, mechanical and facilities engineering under one UK-based organisation. This enables customers to simplify delivery, reduce risk and achieve better outcomes across business critical and operationally sensitive environments.

Some of the key deliverables for the role include:

  • Identify, target and secure new logo customers across Enterprise, Telecom and Critical National Infrastructure sectors
  • Develop and execute a targeted new business strategy aligned to NGB ITS growth priorities
  • Proactively generate pipeline through direct prospecting, networking, partner engagement and market presence
  • Own opportunities from first engagement through to contract signature, driving pace and momentum throughout
  • Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs and senior infrastructure and digital leaders
  • Position yourself as a commercial and strategy advisor, shaping customer strategy around connectivity, cloud and digital infrastructure
  • Lead complex, multi stakeholder sales cycles with confidence and authority
  • Sell the full NGB ITS portfolio, including:
    • Network infrastructure and structured cabling
    • LAN, WAN, Wi Fi, connectivity and private networks
    • Managed network and support services
    • Cloud and Unified Communications solutions, including Webex, Zoom and Mitel
  • Translate technical capability into clear commercial and operational outcomes such as resilience, performance, security and scalability
  • Shape solutions collaboratively with architecture, delivery and commercial teams to ensure credibility and deliverability
  • Build and maintain a high quality, self-generated pipeline aligned to strategic markets
  • Apply strong qualification, deal governance and margin discipline
  • Provide accurate forecasting and maintain CRM and reporting standards
  • Focus on quality, profitability and long-term value, not just volume
  • Act as a senior external ambassador for NG Bailey IT Services
  • Represent the business at industry events, customer forums and partner engagements
  • Build a strong personal network across Enterprise, Telecom and CNI ecosystems
  • Manage a limited number of named strategic accounts
  • Grow account value through cross sell and upsell of network, cloud and managed services
  • Maintain a clear new business first mindset while protecting and expanding these relationships

What we’re looking for

  • Proven track record in new business / hunter sales roles with consistent delivery of new logo wins
  • Experience selling network, cloud, connectivity or IT infrastructure services
  • Strong understanding of enterprise and carrier grade networking, cloud and Unified Communications solutions (e.g. Webex, Zoom, Mitel)
  • Demonstrated ability to build pipeline from zero and convert complex opportunities
  • Confident operating at C suite and executive level
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Personal accountability for results and targets

Desirable

  • Experience selling into Enterprise, Telecom or Critical National Infrastructure environments
  • Familiarity with regulated or operationally critical customer settings (non defence)
  • Existing network of relevant industry contacts
  • Experience leading complex bids and multi stakeholder sales cycles
