We’re looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical bias) to join our shift team on a prestigious commercial contract in the heart of London, just moments from Liverpool Street Station.

This is a continental shift role with a strong focus on nights, making it an excellent opportunity for engineers who prefer working outside of standard daytime hours while enjoying extended rest periods. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring building services run seamlessly across a diverse portfolio, working with state-of-the-art systems in a high-profile environment.

  The Shift Pattern

Continental Rotation

  • 4 Nights → 4 Off → 3 Days → 3 Nights → 6 Off → 4 Days

  • Shifts: 07:00 – 19:00 / 19:00 – 07:00

This rota offers excellent work/life balance, with long breaks built into the schedule.

  What You’ll Be Doing
  • Carry out fault-finding, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Deliver PPMs and reactive works in line with statutory requirements and SFG20 standards.

  • Work on key systems such as Building Management Systems, Lighting Control, HVAC, Generators, UPS, and HV/LV distribution.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards at all times.

  • Provide clear recommendations for system improvements and additional works.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the shift team to maintain the highest levels of service for our client.

  What We’re Looking For
  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline.

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.

  • Proven experience in commercial building services maintenance.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical & mechanical plant, PPM schedules, and compliance requirements.

  • HV/LV Authorised Person status (desirable).

  • A proactive, problem-solving approach with a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.
