Salary £38k - £40k (DOE) Plus Over Seas Allowance £13,860

 

Summary

NG Bailey Facilities Services are currently recruiting for 2 x General Maintenance Operative to join our Defence contract at RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus.

 

As based in Cyprus full time, you will be offered a package in line with our standard T&C's plus a generous Overseas Allowance to support with accommodation etc whilst in the country.

British Nationality and SC Security Clearance are conditions of employment. If not already held, SC Security Clearance can be obtained with the support of NG Bailey.

 

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include: 

• Minor civil and building fabric work, corrosion treatment and painting
• External grounds maintenance to control of all invasive species, the use of pesticides, strimming, hedge cutting, tree management
• External grounds maintenance, jet washing and cleaning of external equipment, and rubbish clearance, road sweeping and gully clearing.
• Use of hand tools and powered machinery.
• Driving Commercial Vehicle - up 3,5t
• Monday to Friday 40hrs per week, times to be discussed at Interview

 

What we’re looking for:

An experienced General Maintenance Operative working to a high standard of Facilities management and with the utmost regard for customer service this is a role for you.

 

You will hold current qualifications to work as a GMO including.

• SC Security Clearance - This can be arranged for the successful candidate. 5 year UK residence (or overseas British bases) and employment history required – Essential
• GCSE, or equivalent – Essential
• Driving Licence and experience of driving Vans – Essential
• Knowledge of Health & Safety – Essential
• Use of Power Tools - Essential
• Painting and Decorating - Essential
• NPTC PA1 NPTC PA6 – Training will be Provided
• Civils work experience - Desirable
• Carpentry 1st and 2nd fix - Desirable
• Lock smith qualification / experience – Desirable
• Asbestos / Environmental Awareness - Desirable
• Cat and genny qualification – Desirable
• Fire Door inspector qualified – Desirable
